HOW IS OUR POTTERY MADE?

A la Lune--Poterie Savoyarde--Polka Dotted pottery typical for the Haute Savoie region of France
The pottery from the Annecy region of France, the Haute Savoie mountains,  is sought after and rare Collectors delight in these contemporary looking patterns which are actually centuries old. The dotted pattern represents the famous Harvest moon that appears in August above the lake of Annecy. Each piece is truly hand made, an authentic reproduction from the atelier of Lionel Barthe.
Lionel's pottery are famous for the painstakingly precise process that distresses the pottery -hand thrown, baked in wood-fired ovens and hand painted- including scuff marks, small chips, as an antique piece. Lionel's work graces many a museum collection.
