Brass: The nails, the bolsters and the "Platines"

 

   
Massive Bolsters and sides are cut in locally produced mplds, cut from massive blocks of brass. Used to strengthen the handles, the bolsters are manually affixed onto the sides (MITRAGE). They are then pierced, allowing for the final assembly with brass nail cut from thick brass wire.
